Thin Mini-ITX desktop boards based on the Intel® 8 Series Chipset support 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors, Intel® Core™ i5 processors, and other Intel® processors with a 65-watt TDP in the LGA1150 package. The visibly smart Intel® Core™ processor family provides incredible performance and stunning visuals delivered by a range of Intel® technologies. Connect a wide range of supported devices to the available I/O ports on the chosen Thin Mini-ITX-based desktop boards. These can include high-speed USB3, HDMI*, and Intel® wireless adapters to support loading, modifying, and streaming digital media. Rely on Intel® Quick Sync Video, which allows the conversion of media from one device to another and prepares your media to share it online at incredible speeds.
The built-in visuals of the 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors deliver everything you need to enjoy a stunning and seamless graphic experience. View and interact with pictures and media on your PC without the need for a discrete graphics card, thanks to Intel® HD Graphics 4600—the new baseline for all 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5 and Intel® Core™ i7 processors.

Flexible and Compact
It is possible to implement DDR3 1600/1333/1066 MHz DIMMs and up to 16GB system memory depending on the specific desktop board implementation.
Many Thin Mini-ITX desktop boards support a combination of full size PCI-Express mini-card and half-size PCI-Express mini-card connectors. The mini-card connectors are ideal for support of mSATA solid state drives, WiFi, and third party TV tuner modules. Intel® mSATA Solid-State Drive modules and Intel® WiFi adapters can provide an excellent combination of system, responsiveness, dependability, and high-speed wireless connectivity.
LVDS & EDP
Thin Mini-ITX Desktop Boards may support a local flat panel display via on-board LVDS connectivity that can enable a wide range of display panels for maximum flexibility when defining All-in-One system configurations. Embedded Display Port* (EDP) is one of the latest digital video standards and is intended to replace older standards such as DVI and VGA. This can enable compact PC designs that support Digital Signage and other high resolution digital displays.
mSATA is available on many thin mini-ITX Desktop Boards. It is generally implemented as a low profile, full-size Mini PCI Express* connector that supports mSATA Solid State Drives. An Intel® mSATA Solid-State Drive offers similar performance to a 2.5" Intel Solid-State Drive(SSD) but in an eighth of the size. This compact mSATA footprint can be used to enable single or dual drive storage in compact systems.
