Problem:

High memory usage during the FPGA compilation stage of OpenCL kernels.

Solution:

This patch significantly decreases memory usage during the Quartus II 
compilation stage.  The benefit is most substantial on compiles that 
used more than the recommended amount of system memory, with a reduction 
in peak memory usage of up to 60%. The recommended amount of system 
memory is unchanged.


Caution - You must either have previously installed the
          Altera SDK for OpenCL Patch 13.1 software or must
          install the Altera SDK for OpenCL Patch 13.1 software
          before installing this patch. Otherwise, the patch will
          not be installed correctly and the Altera SDK for OpenCL Patch
          software will not run properly.
