For MAX 10 designs, the Quartus II software issues "Error (125095): Part name...invalid" and "Error (281000): Part name...illegal" errors

    Critical Issue

    Description

    MAX 10 FPGA part numbers have been updated to reflect ROHS6-compliant parts, replacing the previous ROHS5-compliant part numbers. The Quartus II software release version 14.1 does not recognize the previous part names, and the compiler issues the following error when you use the old part names in your design:

    Error (125095): Part name 10M08DAF484C7N is invalid Info (125063): set_global_assignment -name DEVICE 10M08DAF484C7N Error (281000): Part name 10M08DAF484C7N is illegal Error: Quartus II 64-Bit Analysis & Synthesis was unsuccessful. 2 errors, 0 warnings
    Resolution

    You must use the new ROHS6-compliant part numbers.
