What does the "ES" mean on EPM7128B and EPM7256B devices?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description The "ES" markings on Altera devices specify the devices as engineering sample (ES) devices. Altera releases ES devices before the final test routines are completed. These devices should meet all data sheet specifications; however, since they were not completely tested, Altera does not guarantee this.

All ES devices are shipped with an errata sheet indicating the devices were not completely tested.
