4. Installing the Intel® Simics® Simulator for Intel® FPGAs

The core Intel® Simics® simulator, device Intel® Simics® model, and virtual platforms are distributed in packages. The core of the Intel® Simics® simulator is included in the Intel® Simics® base package. The Intel® Simics® model of the Intel FPGA devices is included in the Intel FPGA package. The Intel® Simics® packages are identified using a name and a number. When installing the Intel® Simics® Simulator for Intel FPGA software, the following packages are installed:

The Intel® Simics® Simulator for Intel® FPGAs does not require any additional licensing. You only need to accept an end-user license agreement when you install the software.
