Parameter Value Description
Bits per color sample 4–20, Default = 8 Select the number of bits per pixel (per color plane sample).
Number of color planes 1–3, Default = 3 Select the number of color planes.
Color planes transmitted in parallel On or Off
  • Turn on to set colors planes in parallel.
  • Turn off to set colors planes in sequence.
Number of pixels in parallel 1, 2, 4, or 8 Specify the number of pixels transmitted or received in parallel.
Number of inputs 1–12, Default = 2 Select the number of Avalon-ST video inputs to the IP core.
Number of outputs 1–12, Default = 2 Select the number of Avalon-ST video outputs from the IP core.
Attention: Intel recommends that you do not create feedback loops using the Switch II IP core. Feedback loops may cause system-level lockups.
